At Jesus Unlimited Church we are here to proclaim Jesus is alive and wants all to be saved. Cliche? Yes! But when you learn what being saved is about being healed delivered preserved protected prospered and whole you will want all God has for you!
After Jesus’s death He appeared to His disciples telling them to wait in Jerusalem till they be equipped with power from on high. On the day of Pentecost God’s promise was fulfilled! 120 faithful followers of Jesus Christ were baptized in the Holy Ghost and fire! Peter preached his first sermon and 3000 souls were added to God’s kingdom in one day. The New Testament church was birthed and has been engaging ever since with the power of the Lord in our midst!
God’s purpose has always been to live in His people through the person of the Holy Spirit. It is only by being FULL of His Spirit that the church will be able to fulfill our Lord’s Great Commission!

What we Believe
We believe in preaching the full counsel of God. Our strength comes from knowing Him and we know Him thru knowing and acting on His Word.
We believe that prayer is the power house of the church and that the church must come together to pray together.
We believe that we as Christians should be light and salt to this dying world. The church must get involved in politics and the church must speak to sin. The Bible is clear, if people are living in sin and we do not warn them, their blood is on our hands.
We believe in high praise and deep worship. The church needs to praise the Lord with all our strength and to worship Him with all of our heart.
We believe in giving the Holy Spirit place in our services and to allow Jesus to be Lord in the church. We detest church services that do not allow God to be God in the midst of His people.
The church needs to be outwardly focused on those that don’t know the Lord. Time is short before the curtain closes on this dispensation. People don’t care how much we know until they know how much we care. The world needs to see the face of Christ in His church.
About The Pastors
Pastors Roy & Valerie Hartwell are graduates of Rhema Bible College 93-95. They met in 1993 married in 94’ and graduated together in 95’. The Lord called Pastor Roy to Pastor. Pastor Valerie to evangelism. The Lord moved them from Tulsa to Washington state after graduating. Together they pastored 2 churches for a total of 16 years. Led by the Lord in 2021, they were led to Spanaway WA to pioneer Jesus Unlimited Church in Spanaway Washington.
Pastor Roy was not raised in church. He was an atheist. He would have debated against the existence of God in high school. After entering the Air Force the Lord led an old shop teacher to a park where Pastor Roy was hanging with some friends with a quart of beer in his hand. The former teacher talked to him about Jesus. Pastor Roy surrendered his life to the Lord that day in 1974. He later married a non-believer and attended UW and received his BSEE. After his first marriage ended in divorce the Lord called him to pastor and attend Rhema Bible College in Tulsa. It was there that he and Pastor Valerie met.
Pastor Valerie was not raised in church either. Coming from a heroin drug-trafficking family, she grew up quick. As with anyone in this environment life was not pretty. At age 19 in Las Vegas Nevada the Lord gave her a dream about Jesus and Satan. that scared her. She knew nothing about Jesus or the Bible. The very next night after this dream the Lord sent a new believer to witness to her while sitting in a Mexican restaurant with a margarita in her hand. She went to church by herself the following night and surrendered her life to Jesus. She walked strong with the Lord for 4 years. She married a heroin drug dealer ex-bf in Denver believing she could win him to Christ. Instead, the severe domestic violence and losing her mother to a homicide she slipped into the depths of darkness and succumbed to heroin herself. Pastor Valerie’s testimony of surrendering her life to Jesus after being backslid for several years is powerful. After divorcing her 1st husband the Lord led her to move to Tulsa to be near her oldest daughter for the birth of her first granddaughter. It was there in Tulsa that the Lord led her to enroll at Rhema Bible College intending to attend for only one year. After just one month of sitting under teaching of real faith in God and His Word Pastor Valerie knew she had to attend the full 2 years! It is there during her first year that she and pastor Roy met married and graduated 2nd year together.
Upon graduation the Lord led them to WA state. They pioneered a church in Mukilteo and also ministered faithfully in the county jail for 4 years. God worked mightily in the men’s church service with HIs tangible presence and signs falling and changing the men’s hearts in the jail service.
Seeing the critical times our nation is in since the shutdown of our nation Pastor Roy and Valerie’s passion is for the name of the Lord Jesus to be lifted up. There is a great end time harvest and Great Spiritual Awakening that must be attained in every church and city across the nation. Pastors Roy & Valerie minister and teach with a strong prophetic anointing stirring up the Lords church to yield fully and uncompromisingly to the Lordship of Christ before HIs return!
